The museum operates CCTV surveillance for the safety of visitors and the collection.

Free lockers are available. Rucksacks may need to be worn on your front in galleries.

Step-Free Access

Entrance is step-free with a sloped driveway. Lift access to all floors (123.5cm wide × 104.5cm deep, 80cm door). All public areas wheelchair accessible.

Quiet Times

Weekday mornings (10:00–11:00) and afternoons (16:00–17:00) are usually the quietest. The Armouries are generally the quietest gallery area.

Assistance Dogs

Appropriately trained assistance dogs welcome throughout. Please show ID book from ADI, ADUK, or IGDF on arrival.

Toilets

Gender-neutral cubicles on lower ground floor. Accessible toilet with panic button and audio-visual alarm. Baby change and water fountain available.
